Aspire People are currently seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the B31 area of Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs who is looking for a rewarding part-time role on a long-term basis.
You will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to engage in learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential within a nurturing school environment.
The Role: Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN Support children with needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities Encourage positive behaviour and independence Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential What Aspire People Offer: Competitive rates of pay Flexible part-time working pattern (2-3 days per week) Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Access to free CPD and training opportunities Opportunity for the role to become permanent
