Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Preston area to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a male pupil in Reception.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and patient individual who is passionate about supporting young children to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil engage positively with learning and develop confidence within the classroom environment.
Your new role
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated support to a pupil within a Reception class throughout the school day.
• Help implement strategies to support learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support social interaction with peers.
• Assist with classroom activities whilst ensuring the pupil remains fully included in learning opportunities.
• Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience working with children in an EYFS, primary school, nursery, or similar setting.
• A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
• A genuine passion for helping young learners succeed.
