This is a key position offering the opportunity to take ownership of the procurement function and play an integral part in supporting the company's continued growth. You will oversee purchasing across the manufacturing operation, sourcing electrical components, fabrication materials and subcontract services while developing supplier relationships and driving cost efficiencies.

You'll also maintain the approved supplier database, develop framework agreements, manage obsolete stock and work with Engineering to ensure accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).

You'll have strong, proven procurement experience within electrical manufacturing, control panel manufacturing, switchgear, electrical distribution or a wider industrial manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have experience sourcing electrical components from manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Phoenix Contact, Weidmuller, WAGO, Rittal, Eldon and Stahl, alongside materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and cable.
Commercially minded and confident in your approach, you'll bring strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities. You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable managing forecasting, inventory and purchasing processes using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Autodesk Fusion Operations and ISO9001 would be advantageous, as would exposure to the HV industry and organisations such as National Grid, UK Power Networks, Scottish Power and SSE.
