Site Manager – BESS Project Location: Scotland Rate: DOE Start Date: Immediate Contract: Long-term Civils Contract We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Scotland. This is a long-term opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in civil engineering, groundworks and energy infrastructure, with experience managing large-scale civils packages. The Role: * Managing day-to-day site operations across the BESS project * Supervising subcontractors and site teams * Managing groundworks, earthworks and concrete works * Overseeing battery foundations, transformer bases and equipment foundations * Managing drainage, access roads, ducting and cable routes * Coordinating civils works with electrical and HV contractors * Ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to specification * Reviewing RAMS and site documentation * Monitoring progress, quality and health & safety * Coordinating with the wider project team and specialist contractors * Reporting into the Project/Construction Manager Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager within civils, groundworks or infrastructure * Previous experience on BESS, substations, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable * Strong understanding of groundworks, earthworks and concrete construction * Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work fronts * CSCS * SMSTS * First Aid * Strong health & safety and quality awareness The Package: * Immediate start * Long-term contract * Major BESS project * Scotland location * Competitive rate DOE If you are an experienced Site Manager with a civils, groundworks or energy infrastructure background and are available immediately, please apply with your CV or contact us directly for more information
