We are seeking a skilled and qualified MOT Tester / Mechanic to join a busy and professional automotive workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering high standards of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and MOT testing. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers' vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently while providing exceptional workmanship and customer service. Key Responsibilities * Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards and regulations * Conduct vehicle inspections and identify faults * Perform servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a wide range of vehicles * Diagnose vehicle issues and recommend appropriate solutions * Ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently * Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and MOT results * Adhere to all health and safety procedures within the workshop * Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment Requirements Essential * Qualified and current MOT Tester licence * Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or MOT Tester * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills * Full UK driving licence * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Desirable * Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent * Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models * Knowledge of modern diagnostic equipment Benefits * Competitive salary of £38,000 - £40,000 per year * 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Full-time permanent position * Negotiable working pattern * Supportive and professional working environment * Long-term career development opportunities Location & Working Pattern * Based in Mildenhall, IP28 * Full-time, permanent position with optional weekend work available.
