Trust Manager

An established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Trust Manager in Edinburgh to join its Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trust professional to manage a varied portfolio of complex and high-value trusts, covering trust administration, taxation, compliance and client relationships.

The Role

• Manage a portfolio of private family and charitable trusts, overseeing day-to-day administration and regulatory compliance
• Advise on trust establishment and winding up, maintaining accurate records and accounts
• Apply knowledge of trust law and taxation, including Income Tax, Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
• Build strong relationships with trustees, clients and beneficiaries, providing clear and considered guidance
• Arrange and conduct trustee meetings, collaborating with external advisers and colleagues across the Private Client team
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to the development of the firm's trust services

About You

• An experienced trust professional with a proven track record of managing a portfolio of trusts, ideally including complex or high-value matters
• Strong knowledge of trust law, taxation and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, organisational and client relationship skills
• Experience administering trustee meetings and managing competing priorities
• STEP or ATT qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential
