Recruitment Assistant

• Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
• Location: Hook, Hampshire
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week)
• Contract: Permanent

Join a growing recruitment team in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. We are seeking an organised, proactive, and people-focused Recruitment Assistant to join our busy and friendly team based in Hook. This permanent position is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous recruitment experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to play a key role in attracting and onboarding talented individuals.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Support the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
• Write and post engaging job advertisements.
• Screen applications and shortlist candidates.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate recruitment activities.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Conduct pre-employment checks and obtain references.
• Prepare recruitment and onboarding documentation.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and databases.
• Provide administrative support to the wider Recruitment and HR team.
• Assist with ongoing recruitment campaigns and projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous recruitment experience is essential.
• Experience gained within agency recruitment, internal recruitment, or a recruitment-focused HR environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
• A professional, positive, and proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
