The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially driven Internal Salesperson to join our Exeter team. You will manage existing customer accounts, respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

This is an office-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering excellent customer service and working towards sales targets.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, office based.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing and developing existing customer accounts.

• Responding to enquiries, preparing quotations and following up opportunities to secure sales.

• Building strong customer relationships through telephone and email contact.

• Identifying opportunities to increase sales, margins and account profitability.

• Working with External Sales colleagues to support customer growth and new business.

• Maintaining accurate customer records and sales activity.

• Resolving customer queries and supporting credit control where required.

• Achieving agreed sales and customer growth targets.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in internal sales, account management, customer service or sales support.

• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.

• Commercial awareness and a target-driven approach.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

• A proactive, reliable approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience in the metals, industrial, manufacturing or distribution sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
