We're looking for an experienced Cyber Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing a specialist cyber response function within a leading professional services organisation.

This is a high-impact, operational leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast moving, high pressure environments and can bring structure, direction and control to complex situations.

Acting as a central coordination point between leadership and technical teams, you'll oversee multiple concurrent activities, ensure priorities are clear, and mobilise the right people and resources when major incidents arise.

This is not a traditional project management position. We're looking for someone who can take ownership, make decisions under pressure and keep people focused and organised when the stakes are high.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple concurrent cyber response cases and projects, maintaining visibility of progress, priorities and outstanding actions.
• Coordinate teams and resources during major incidents, ensuring the right specialists are brought together quickly and responsibilities are clearly defined.
• Monitor workloads, team capacity, resource requirements and budgets, providing leadership with clear insight into operational performance and future needs.
• Establish and improve operational processes, procedures and reporting to support consistent, effective delivery.
• Work closely with senior leadership to identify issues, manage competing demands and ensure critical actions are completed.
• Support client communications where required, providing clear updates and helping maintain confidence during complex or time-sensitive situations.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, internal capability and the overall effectiveness of the function.

About You

You'll be a confident operational leader with experience managing people, resources and competing priorities in a complex or high-pressure environment. You're comfortable taking charge when situations become challenging, bringing clarity to uncertainty and ensuring teams remain focused on the right outcomes.

You'll ideally bring:

• Proven experience in operational leadership, crisis management, incident coordination or running a complex technical or security-focused function.
• Strong organisational and resource management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple activities simultaneously.
• The confidence to make informed decisions, prioritise quickly and coordinate large teams during critical situations.
• A good understanding of IT operations, cyber security or technical service environments, enabling you to work effectively with specialist teams. You do not need to be a hands-on cyber incident responder.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, technical specialists and clients.
• A proactive, practical mindset, with the resilience and judgement to take ownership and get things done.
