Freelance Site Engineer Freelance | Long-Term Contract | Accommodation Available | Company Van Provided We're currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a busy civil engineering contractor with a growing workload across multiple live projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for long-term, secure contract work, with projects already secured through to Spring 2027. The Role This position will involve providing engineering support across a number of ongoing projects. While the role covers multiple sites, work is planned efficiently to minimise unnecessary travel, allowing engineers to focus on delivering projects rather than spending their time on the road. A company van will be provided, and accommodation is available for the right candidate. Project Types You'll gain exposure to a broad range of civil engineering works, including: Groundworks External works Infrastructure projects Trunk road works Sports facility construction Housing developments Utilities and major framework projects The projects are varied but generally consist of straightforward civil engineering works, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple sectors. Responsibilities Setting out for civil engineering works Maintaining quality assurance records Ensuring work is delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications Producing as-built information where required Supporting site teams with technical and engineering requirements Liaising with site management and subcontractors Requirements Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering Strong setting-out capability Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Experience using GPS and robotic total stations QA/QC experience Strong record-keeping and documentation skills Experience working across a range of civil engineering projects Valid CSCS card What's on Offer?  Immediate start available Long-term freelance contract Work secured through to Spring 2027 Company van provided Accommodation available for the right individual Varied project portfolio Opportunity to join a busy and expanding team Interested?
