Locality Manager

Location: Brindleyplace, Birmingham

Salary: £41,800–£50,200 plus £750 annual car allowance

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Lead a team and make a difference in our communities

We’re looking for an experienced Locality Manager to lead a team of customer-facing Housing Officers across our general needs rented homes in the West Midlands.

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused tenancy management services, helping tenants and communities thrive. You’ll lead, motivate and support a field-based team, ensuring services are effective, responsive and aligned with customer needs.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and local partners, you’ll help deliver locality targets and improve outcomes for customers and communities.

You’ll oversee a range of tenancy management activities, including tenancy audits, estate inspections, mutual exchanges, anti-social behaviour (ASB), successions, assignments and tenancy fraud. You’ll also contribute to Locality Management Boards, supporting joined-up working and continuous improvement.

What We Need

You’ll have strong knowledge of housing legislation and experience delivering excellent customer service in a customer-facing environment. You’ll also have at least two years’ direct line management experience, including allocating resources and supporting team performance.

You’ll also bring:

• Strong knowledge of landlord and tenancy legislation, including ASB, mutual exchanges, successions and assignments
• A housing-related qualification or be working towards one
• A minimum BTEC HNC/HND or equivalent skills and ability
• Experience leading, motivating and developing a team
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to delivering excellent customer service

A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
