Internal Sales Executive

We are seeking a proactive and driven Internal Sales Executive to join our client's growing team. This is a sales-focused position that will play a key role in generating new business, developing existing supplier and customer relationships, and driving revenue growth.

The successful candidate will be confident making outbound calls, following up on leads, and maintaining regular contact with existing suppliers and customers to identify opportunities and maximise sales. Alongside relationship management, you will support customers in sourcing and purchasing products, negotiate with suppliers, and coordinate logistics to ensure a seamless service.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Proactively generate new business through outbound calling and lead generation activities.
• Follow up quotations, enquiries, and previous sales opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and customers through regular communication.
• Keep in close contact with current suppliers to identify opportunities, monitor stock availability, and strengthen partnerships.
• Process sales orders and purchase orders through the company's operational system.
• Book and coordinate transport and logistics as required.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, collections, lead times, and stock availability.
• Manage stock levels where necessary.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and ensure all opportunities are followed through.
• Accurately communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions.
• Keep CRM and sales records up to date with all customer interactions and follow-up activity.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, internal sales, account management, business development, or a similar commercial role.
• Comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls and following up sales opportunities.
• Strong lead generation and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain long-term supplier and customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, proactive, and commercially driven.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Competent in basic administration and IT systems, including Word and Excel.
