Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre Construction Salary: €80,000–€90,000 + Package Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Sector: Data Centre / Mission Critical Construction Employment: Permanent | Full-time We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a major data centre construction project in Amsterdam. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical engineering professional with proven data centre experience to oversee technical delivery, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and support projects through installation, commissioning and handover. Key Responsibilities * Manage client communications and attend project meetings. * Lead and coordinate a team of Package Managers. * Oversee technical submittals, RFIs and engineering documentation. * Develop and review commissioning scripts for mechanical assets and systems. * Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical and CSA contractors to ensure fully integrated services. * Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities. * Coordinate pipework installation and sequencing to meet project milestones. * Support site installation works, maintaining high-quality standards and managing progress through commissioning and handover. * Assist with scope changes, cost assessments, monthly valuations and final accounts. * Drive O&M completion and gather required documentation from vendors. Requirements * Essential: Proven data centre construction experience. * Experience delivering large-scale construction projects in data centre, industrial, pharmaceutical or other mission-critical environments. * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline. * Strong organisational, communication and time-management skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
