A great step up for someone with a solid grounding in practice who wants to take on more ownership. You'll build your own portfolio with plenty of support and clear progression to Senior.

The role

• Bookkeeping for a range of clients, including posting purchase and sales invoices and reconciling supplier and customer accounts
• Reconcile bank accounts, checking transactions that feed in automatically
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for manager review
• Prepare working paper schedules for year-end accounts, with review notes then corrected before finalisation
• Help prepare personal tax returns
• Handle day-to-day client contact, chasing records and answering general bookkeeping queries
• Pick up adhoc reconciliations and additional duties as required

About you

• 1 to 2 years in an accountancy practice
• Study support on offer if required
• Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar, and comfortable in Excel
• IRIS experience a bonus but not essential
• Proactive, organised and keen to progress
