Senior Quantity Surveyor required in London GVR Solutions are currently representing a very well-established main contractor, who are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The initial focus will be on a £16m refurbishment project in Central London which will be approx. 70 weeks. * Central London * £65K £75K + package * Main contractor in Central London Senior Quantity Surveyor responsibilities: * Reporting to a Managing Surveyor and will be supported by a Junior Quantity Surveyor * Take day-to-day commercial ownership of the project from procurement through to final account. * Prepare subcontract enquiry packages, tender comparisons and buying analyses; procure and negotiate subcontract packages. * Prepare and agree subcontract orders and manage applications, payments, variations and final accounts. * Prepare and submit monthly client applications / valuations and manage client variations and change control. * Attend and contribute to client, consultant and commercial meetings; maintain a strong relationship with the client QS. * Maintain project CVRs, forecasts, cost-to-complete information, cash flow, WIP and commercial records. * Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, including contractual notices, EOT and loss and expense where required. * Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and wider delivery team to protect commercial performance. Requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor: * Degree qualified or Equivalent qualification in Construction * Strong experience working for a main contractor on refurbishment or fit out projects * Comfortable working on projects up to £20m * Good knowledge of JCT contracts * Strong procurement, buying and account management * Client facing * Confident with CVRs, forecasting, cost reporting and commercial risk management.
