Car Sales Administrator (Franchise Dealership)

Pay: circa £30,000 - £32,000 according to experience

Car Sales Administrator Company Overview:

Our client is a well-established franchised dealership in Aylesbury, part of a small, family-run business with a loyal local customer base. They are looking for an experienced Car Sales Administrator to join their busy team, supporting both new and used car sales.

This is a business that prides itself on personal service and long-standing customer relationships, rather than the high-pressure sales targets you may have experienced elsewhere. As a small, family-owned operation, you’ll be part of a close-knit team where your contribution is visible and valued, and where you’ll work across both new and used cars rather than being confined to one side of the business.

Please note: recent new car sales administration experience within a franchised dealership is essential. Used car sales administration experience is also highly desirable.

Car Sales Administrator Role and Responsibilities:

• Processing new vehicle orders and tracking them through to delivery using manufacturer systems
• Administering used car sales from stock-in through to handover, including stock paperwork, vehicle history checks and warranty documentation
• Preparing sales invoices and deal paperwork for new and used vehicles, including part-exchange and deposit documentation
• Handling vehicle registrations and ensuring all compliance and ID checks are completed
• Preparing finance proformas and liaising with finance providers
• Coordinating vehicle preparation and customer handovers with the sales team and workshop
• Keeping customers informed on order status and delivery dates by phone, email and in person
• Supporting the sales executives with day-to-day administration across new and used cars

Car Sales Administrator Skills and Experience:

• Recent experience as a Car Sales Administrator within a franchised dealership
• Experience of used car sales administration is highly desirable
• Working knowledge of manufacturer ordering and registration systems
• Comfortable using a Dealer Management System (DMS)
• Confident, professional telephone and face-to-face manner
• Well organised, with a methodical approach to orders and paperwork

Please note candidates without franchised dealership car sales administration experience will not be considered for this position.
