Production Operative - Salmon Factory (Grimsby) Location: Grimsby, DN31 3HF Pay: £13.11 per hour Contract: Temporary - temp to perm for the right candidates Shifts Monday-Friday: 6:00am - finish (normally 3:00pm-4:00pm) Every other Saturday: 6:00am - finish (usually 12:00pm) paid at x1.25(Finish times can vary depending on production, so flexibility is required.) The Role We're recruiting Production Operatives to join a busy salmon processing factory in Grimsby. You'll support the production line in preparing, processing and packing fresh and frozen fish products, working to high food safety standards. Duties include Adding fresh/frozen fish to and from the production line Pin-boning, scraping, trimming and general fish preparation De-heading and processing tasks Defrosting Packing products ready for dispatch Weighing, grading and labelling Manual handling and moving products as required Keeping the work area clean and tidy Adhering to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations at all times Working in a cold environment (PPE provided)What we're looking for Reliable and punctual (early starts) Comfortable working in chilled conditions and a fast-paced environment Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Production/food factory experience helpful but not essential (training provided) Must be able to work every other Saturday as part of the rotaBenefits £13.11 per hour, with Saturday paid at x1.25 Temp to perm opportunity for strong performers Canteen on site with free hot drinks PPE providedHow to apply Apply via your preferred job board or call/email Joe on (phone number removed) // Should you require any support or assistance, please contact your local Gi Group office.
