Accountant

• Annual Salary: £55,000 per annum plus benefits
• Location: Baker Street, London
• Job Type: Full-time (4 days per week in the office)

Our client is a leading real estate investment company in London's West End, managing a portfolio of prime global locations. They are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Accountant to enhance their finance team. This role would suit a recently qualified Accountant who is making their first move from practice into industry.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management accounts.
• Oversee general ledger functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax legislation and accounting standards, including VAT, CIS, and corporation tax obligations.
• Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making.
• Coordinate audit activities and manage internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA).
• At least 4-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a commercial or corporate finance environment.
• Proficient in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end closing processes.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems such as Epicor, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
