Town Planner

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planning Consultant to join a growing property and development consultancy working across Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of residential and commercial projects, taking responsibility for your own planning work whilst collaborating with experienced colleagues across surveying, property and development.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for:

• Managing planning projects from initial advice through to submission and determination
• Working with clients to understand their development objectives and provide practical planning guidance
• Coordinating with architects, surveyors and other professionals involved in development projects
• Preparing planning documentation, reports and supporting statements
• Advising on planning requirements, development opportunities and potential constraints
• Maintaining relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders
• Overseeing your own projects, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept informed

About You

• Background within a planning consultancy, local authority or similar environment
• Relevant planning qualification or equivalent professional experience
• Strong written communication and report-writing skills
• Confident managing projects and dealing directly with clients
• A practical, commercially minded approach to planning and development
