An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior/Senior to join a growing accountancy practice. This role would suit an ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or QBE professional with strong audit experience, looking to take ownership of client assignments and support junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage statutory audit assignments from initial planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered efficiently, accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Undertake audit testing, assess key risk areas and ensure sufficient and appropriate audit evidence is obtained in accordance with relevant auditing standards.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior members of the audit team, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback to aid their development.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process, building strong professional relationships and responding proactively to queries.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A and other applicable reporting frameworks.
• Prepare audit completion documentation, identify key findings and communicate matters arising to Managers and Partners.
• Maintain a good understanding of UK auditing and accounting standards, ensuring assignments comply with relevant regulatory and professional requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and CT600 returns where required.
