Reed is supporting an established insurance organisation in the recruitment of a Commercial Insurance Consultant to join its growing team in Taunton, Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of professional and healthcare-sector clients, providing tailored insurance solutions whilst building long-term relationships and delivering exceptional client service.

The Opportunity

This role would suit an experienced Commercial Account Handler, Insurance Adviser, Insurance Consultant or Broker who enjoys working closely with clients and developing trusted relationships.

The position focuses on servicing and retaining existing clients, managing renewals and identifying opportunities to strengthen client accounts through a consultative approach.

Clients typically operate within professional and healthcare-related sectors, offering an interesting and specialist portfolio that differs from a traditional commercial broking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
• Handling renewals and retention activity
• Advising clients on suitable insurance products and cover requirements
• Building strong relationships with clients and insurer partners
• Identifying cross-selling and account development opportunities
• Providing a high standard of customer service throughout the client journey
• Maintaining accurate and compliant client records

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally possess:

• Previous commercial insurance experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience handling renewals and retention business
• A consultative and customer-focused approach
• Good technical understanding of commercial insurance products
• Professional qualifications such as CII would be advantageous

Working Arrangements

• Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
• Full-time office-based during probation
• Hybrid working available following probation, with a minimum of three days per week in the office
