Reed Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Cheltenham to recruit a dedicated Primary Teacher to provide Year 6 PPA cover every Friday from ASAP until March 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking a consistent weekly role within a friendly school environment, teaching motivated pupils and working alongside an experienced Key Stage 2 team.

The Role

• Teaching a Year 6 class every Friday to cover the class teacher's PPA time
• Delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the school's curriculum
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and learning
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning
• Marking and feedback as required by the school

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Be confident teaching Year 6 pupils
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be reliable, organised, and flexible
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
