Private Client Tax Manager

£55,000 to £65,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

A CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Private Client Tax Manager is wanted by a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Worcester, to own a portfolio of high net worth individuals, trusts and estates.

The work mixes compliance with advisory, and you’d partner with the partners on the more complex matters. Worcester has a loyal and well established client community, and the firm’s private client base reflects that. The practice is collaborative, rewards technical quality, and offers a clear route to Senior Manager. Crowe Watson Recruitment has a strong presence across the Midlands private client market.

What’s the day to day of the role:

• Running your own private client portfolio
• Advising across income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Reviewing self assessment returns and overseeing compliance
• Acting as the key contact and keeping client relationships strong
• Developing junior members of the tax team
• Dealing with HMRC on enquiries and investigations

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong private client tax background
• At least five years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Experience managing HNW private clients accurately and confidently
• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and trusts
• Confident with clients, organised, and able to balance competing deadlines
