About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team. This role will primarily support the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer accounts, cash collection activities, and month-end requirements.
The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating with customers, resolving account queries, and supporting continuous improvement across finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively manage outstanding customer debt and contact customers regarding overdue payments.
• Investigate and resolve customer invoice and account queries.
• Raise and process customer invoices, credit notes, and related documentation.
• Process customer credit applications, ensuring internal procedures and documentation requirements are completed.
• Complete Accounts Receivable administration and reporting as required.
• Monitor customer credit limits and support risk management activities.
• Perform customer account and portal reconciliations.
• Support the implementation and improvement of Accounts Receivable processes and controls.
• Ensure month-end Accounts Receivable tasks are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Adhere to customer-specific billing and reporting requirements.
• Complete daily banking and payment verification activities.
• Provide wider support across the Finance team as required.

Qualifications

• AAT, Credit Management qualification, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Previous experience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or a similar finance role.

• Accurate processing of transactions and customer records.
• Effective resolution of customer queries and outstanding debts.
