I'm partnering with a well-established, premium bakery manufacturer based in Northwest London, seeking a Compliance Technologist to join their Technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining customer confidence, ensuring specification accuracy, supporting BRC compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

The Role

You'll take ownership of product specifications, customer technical enquiries, supplier compliance documentation and customer complaints, helping to ensure the business maintains the highest standards of food safety, legality and quality.

This is a varied role, offering plenty of exposure across manufacturing, suppliers, customers and the wider technical function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain product specifications, ensuring all information is accurate, compliant and up to date.
• Control specification updates following changes to recipes, ingredients, suppliers or manufacturing processes.
• Support the Technical team in maintaining BRCGS compliance, including internal audits, traceability exercises and documentation management.
• Own the customer complaints process from receipt through to investigation, corrective actions and closure within agreed timescales.
• Respond to customer technical requests and questionnaires, ensuring exceptional service levels.
• Maintain supplier approval documentation and compliance records, ensuring all files remain current and audit-ready.
• Analyse complaint trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

You'll be highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy food manufacturing environment.

I'm Looking For:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience managing product specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of food manufacturing compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience interacting with customers and external stakeholders.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
