CNC Machinist
Location: Witton, Birmingham
Salary: £44,000–£48,000 per annum, including shift allowance
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 6:00am–6:00pm

The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a leading manufacturing team at its Witton site.

Offering a competitive salary of £44,000–£48,000 per annum, including shift allowance, with a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (6:00am–6:00pm).

Candidates must have CNC milling and/or turning experience. Titanium experience is not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for machinists looking to develop their skills in a specialist manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC and conventional milling, turning, sawing and other machine tools.
• Machine and cut materials to engineering specifications.
• Identify and record material references accurately.
• Set up machines, install tooling and adjust settings.
• Inspect components using precision measuring equipment.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Handle materials using forklifts, cranes and slinging equipment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic fault-finding.
• Follow health, safety and quality procedures.
• Work with colleagues to meet production targets.

Skills and Experience Required

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling and/or turning machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of tooling, machine setup and machining techniques.
• Good numerical and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Understanding of quality control and production documentation.
• Good problem-solving and mechanical skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to build positive working relationships.
• Forklift and lifting equipment experience is advantageous; training will be provided.

Titanium experience is beneficial but not essential. Candidates with transferable CNC machining skills are encouraged to apply.
