The Company

Our client is the Southern Division of a well-established, larger organisation. Based in Maidenhead, they offer a friendly and welcoming working environment where employees are valued and supported.

They are looking to recruit a reliable and customer-focused 7.5 Tonne Delivery Driver to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

The Role

Working as part of the Southern Division, you will be responsible for making deliveries to customers across the Southern region.

The role will involve approximately five deliveries per day, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently and in a professional manner.

Initially joining on a temporary basis, this position offers the opportunity to become a permanent member of the team.

Key Responsibilities

· Driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle to complete scheduled deliveries across the Southern region.

· Carrying out approximately five deliveries per day.

· Ensuring goods are transported and delivered safely and securely.

· Completing all relevant delivery paperwork and vehicle documentation.

· Maintaining accurate records using a digital tachograph.

· Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.

· Providing a professional and friendly service when dealing with customers.

· Ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations, drivers’ hours and health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

· A valid Category C1 (7.5 tonne) driving licence.

· A valid Driver CPC qualification.

· A valid Digital Tachograph Card.

· Previous experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle would be advantageous.

· Good geographical knowledge of the Southern region.

· A reliable, flexible and conscientious approach to work.

· Good communication and customer service skills.

· A professional and presentable manner.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7.00am - 4.30pm.

No regular weekend working.
