Family Solicitor

An established and growing specialist family law firm in Manchester is seeking a talented Family Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE to join its expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with a strong background in family law to join a dedicated practice focused on providing expert advice and representation in complex and often sensitive family matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of family law matters, from initial instruction through to resolution
• Advise clients on divorce, financial settlements and financial remedy proceedings
• Handle private children law matters, including child arrangements and disputes concerning parental responsibility
• Provide clear, practical and empathetic legal advice tailored to clients’ individual circumstances
• Draft applications, statements, correspondence and other legal documentation
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in proceedings where required
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure excellent standards of client care throughout each case
• Manage files efficiently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and professional requirements

About You

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

• A minimum of 3+ PQE in family law.
• Experience managing their own caseload with a good degree of autonomy.
• Strong technical knowledge of divorce, financial remedy and private children matters.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• A client-focused approach, with the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally and empathetically.
• The ability to work effectively within a busy and collaborative legal team.
• A genuine interest in developing their career within a specialist family law practice.
