Are you a caring, patient, and committed individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

We are currently recruiting 2 Teaching Assistants to join a specialist education setting in a semi-rural area of Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils with additional needs in a highly supportive and rewarding school environment.

About the School

Our client is a well-established specialist school that provides education and support for young people who require additional assistance to reach their full potential. The school offers a nurturing, structured environment where staff work collaboratively to help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. With a strong focus on individual progress and wellbeing, the school is committed to creating positive outcomes for every learner.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to support students both inside and outside the classroom, helping to promote engagement, independence, and confidence.

  • Tuesday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm

37 hours per week

  • 30-minute lunch break daily
  • Complimentary lunch available if desired

Requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above (equivalent to Grade 4-9 under the current grading system)
  • Previous experience working with children, young people, or individuals with additional needs is desirable
  • A patient, resilient, and positive approach
  • Due to the school's semi-rural location, access to your own transport is highly advantageous

What You'll Gain

  • The opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' lives
  • A supportive and dedicated staff team
  • Valuable experience within a specialist educational setting
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
