Our Client:
Our client is a large-scale manufacturing business operating a highly automated, process-led production facility. With a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced people leader to take ownership of a critical upstream processing operation that supports a complex, high-volume manufacturing environment.

The Role:
This is a day-based role, reporting into the Factory Manager. You will lead a specialist processing department responsible for blending, thermal processing, bulk ingredient management and process control. You'll oversee operational performance, team leadership, quality, hygiene, continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration to ensure materials are delivered safely, efficiently and right first time to production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a small operational team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
• Driving safety, quality, hygiene and compliance standards
• Managing production planning, labour utilisation and process performance
• Working closely with Engineering, Technical and Production teams
• Identifying and delivering continuous improvement opportunities

About You:

• Proven leadership experience within a high-volume process manufacturing environment
• Strong background in areas such as mixing, blending, liquids processing, chemicals, dairy, food, beverages, pharmaceuticals or similar regulated industries
• Experienced in managing teams, developing capability and driving performance
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and operational excellence
• A hands-on leader who enjoys being visible on the shop floor and leading from the front
