This is an excellent opportunity to join an established wealth management business in Bournemouth, where you'll benefit from hands-on training, direct exposure to clients and a clear pathway towards an advisory position.

The Opportunity

You'll be joining a well-established financial planning business with an existing portfolio of clients and a strong support structure. Rather than having to build a client bank from scratch, you'll be taking responsibility for looking after existing clients, initially working alongside experienced advisers and gradually developing your own client-facing responsibilities.

The role is designed for someone who wants to progress into financial advice in the near future. You'll receive practical, on-the-job training, attend client meetings with experienced advisers and build the confidence and competence needed to advise clients independently.

Your development will be tailored to your existing experience, qualifications and career stage, with the aim of getting you signed off to become a Financial Planner as quickly as your experience and competency allow.

Key Responsibilities

• Working alongside experienced Financial Advisers to develop your advisory skills and technical knowledge.
• Attending client meetings, observing experienced advisers and gradually taking a more active role in client discussions.
• Conducting annual client reviews and helping clients understand their financial planning needs.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with an established portfolio of clients.
• Developing your ability to identify clients' changing circumstances and appropriate financial planning opportunities.
• Working closely with paraplanners, administrators and other specialists to ensure clients receive a high standard of service.
• Developing your technical knowledge, advice skills and understanding of compliance requirements.
• Working towards the necessary competency sign-off to become a fully-fledged Financial Planner.

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have already developed a strong foundation in financial planning and are now looking for a route into advice.

You might be:

• An experienced Paraplanner who enjoys the technical side of financial planning but wants to become more involved in client relationships.
• A Trainee Financial Adviser who has started their qualifications and is looking for a clear route into an advisory position.
• A qualified individual who is keen to develop their client-facing experience and progress towards full advisory competency.

You'll hold your Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, alongside a genuine ambition to become a Financial Planner.

You'll also need to be confident communicating with clients, organised in your approach and committed to delivering good client outcomes.
