Your responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured mathematics lessons across the relevant secondary key stages.
• Teach mathematical concepts, methods and problem-solving strategies.
• Prepare pupils for assessments and relevant GCSE examinations.
• Adapt teaching to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor attainment, identify gaps in understanding and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom routines and contribute to departmental planning and development.

The ideal candidate

You'll have strong mathematical subject knowledge and a clear approach to explaining complex concepts. You'll also demonstrate:

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with appropriate subject expertise.
• The ability to deliver well-structured lessons with clear learning objectives.
• Effective behaviour management and positive classroom relationships.
• A commitment to assessment, reflection and continuous professional development.
• High expectations for pupil achievement and engagement.
• Located in, or reliably commutable to Amersham, Buckinghamshire
