Design Manager We’re recruiting for an established construction and development business looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to support the delivery of projects valued between £8m and £12m. The company delivers a range of developments, including care homes, commercial and industrial buildings, with a focus on quality, buildability and successful project delivery. The Role * Manage the design process from pre-construction through to project completion. * Coordinate architects, consultants, engineers and subcontractors. * Review drawings and specifications to ensure designs are practical, compliant and buildable. * Manage design programmes and ensure information is issued in line with project deadlines. * Identify and resolve design issues before they affect progress on site. * Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure a smooth delivery. * Review design changes and assess their impact on cost, programme and quality. * Ensure designs meet relevant building regulations and health and safety requirements. About You * Previous experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry. * Experience working on projects of a similar value and scale. * Background in new-build construction, ideally care homes, commercial or industrial developments. * Strong understanding of the design process, technical drawings and building regulations. * Confident managing consultants and coordinating multiple design packages. * Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to keep projects moving. * Relevant construction or design qualifications
