Ready to help bring an integral IBA function into the 21st century?

Campbell Grove Talent are working with a large insurance broker based in London, and they’ve decided their IBA function needs a true shake-up. This means they are looking for a Head of IBA to continue their success story with them.

New tech is arriving, AI is on the agenda, and they want a leader who can take things to the next level.

This is a highly strategic role, working for a business that has consistently seen double digit growth.

The job as Head of IBA:

You’ll lead a large IBA team and set the strategy for where it goes next.

That means:

  • Owning the foundations. Premium and commission management, insurer settlements, client collections, trust accounts, reconciliations and reporting. You’ll keep client and insurer funds watertight and the numbers accurate and on time.
  • Keeping regulators, insurers and auditors happy, with strong controls and compliance oversight.
  • Modernising how it all works. You’ll shape how automation, AI and better systems are used, and lead the offshoring plans (experience here is a real plus).
  • Backing new products so the accounting is ready from day one.
  • Advising senior leaders and the C-suite with confidence, while leading a big team day to day.

Why this one’s different:

It’s privately owned, so there’s no red tape and no six layers of sign-off. Decisions don’t take forever to push through.

Culture is everything. They want someone approachable, a real people person who can relate to anyone from the team to the board, and who drives change by bringing people with them.

The role is based in central London, offers hybrid working, and there will be travel to East Sussex once a week due to team management responsibilities.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive IBA or insurance finance experience, with deep knowledge of premiums, commissions and trust accounting
  • A large corporate background, so you know what good and change look like
  • Proven leadership of big teams, and the confidence to handle senior stakeholders and politics
  • A sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills and excellent communication
  • Fluency in accounting and insurance broker systems
  • A degree in accounting or finance (Master’s, CPA or ACCA preferred)
  • The ability to hit the ground running in a senior role

What’s in it for you

  • Pension up to 10%
  • 27 days holiday + your birthday off
  • Comprehensive private medical for you and your family
  • Hybrid working
  • Car allowance

Why isn’t the salary isn’t advertised?

Our client keeps pay for senior leadership roles confidential.

What we can tell you is that it’s a market leading package, befitting a senior leadership seat. Salary will not be an issue for the right person and will be discussed with suitable applicants.
