Independent School | Ealing, West London | January to July 2027, with Potential to Extend

Salary: Inner London Pay Scale, M1-M6 (£41,729-£54,131 per annum), depending on experience

The Opportunity

Tradewind Recruitment is working with an independent school in Ealing seeking a Year 3 Teacher to join the team from January 2027. The initial contract will run until July 2027, with the potential for the role to continue into the next academic year.

This role would suit a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, maintain high expectations and support pupils as they progress through lower Key Stage 2. You will take responsibility for your class, plan and assess learning, and work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' academic development.

The school provides primary education within an independent setting, with a focus on academic progress, pupil development and a positive learning environment. You will join an established staff team and contribute to pupils' learning across the curriculum.

Located in Ealing, the school benefits from good transport links, making it accessible for teachers commuting from across West London and surrounding areas. Local bus services and nearby rail and Underground connections provide options for those travelling by public transport.

The Role

• Take responsibility for a Year 3 class from January to July 2027, with the possibility of an extension.
• Plan and deliver lessons across the primary curriculum, including English, maths and foundation subjects.
• Assess pupils' work and use progress information to inform future planning.
• Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Establish clear classroom routines and maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' academic progress and wellbeing.
• Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues where required.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3.
• A secure understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Strong planning, assessment and classroom management skills.
• The ability to deliver purposeful lessons and adapt teaching to meet pupils' needs.
• A reliable, organised and professional approach.
• Experience in an independent or prep-school setting would be advantageous but is not essential.
