Finance Administrator

Suffolk County Council, Beacon House, Ipswich

Working Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday office based.

£13.48 per hour, 37 hours per week

Immediate start until end December 2026

Suffolk County Council is seeking a Finance Administrator to join the Adult Social Care Personal Finance Team. This team plays a vital role in managing the financial affairs of vulnerable adults across Suffolk, ensuring their finances are administered accurately and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming post and handle sensitive financial documentation.
• Scan, upload and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Gather and verify supporting evidence, including identification, tenancy and financial information.
• Review claims, identify discrepancies and ensure payments are processed correctly.
• Maintain and update records on the team's finance systems and databases.
• Work effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Candidate Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable, proactive and well organised.
• Previous administrative experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Experience using Liquid logic systems would be an advantage.
