New Opportunity | Specialty Development Underwriter

I'm currently working on an exciting opportunity with a growing insurance business looking to appoint a Specialty Development Underwriter.

The role will focus on developing new business, strengthening broker relationships and supporting growth across a broad commercial underwriting proposition.

The opportunity:
* Develop and manage a book of new business
* Build and strengthen relationships with key insurance brokers
* Conduct broker visits and underwriting surgeries
* Underwrite new business across the agreed appetite
* Act as a key referral point for the wider underwriting team
* Work closely with Business Development and Technical Underwriting
* Opportunity to have real influence across a growing team

We're looking for:
* 5+ years' commercial underwriting experience
* Strong Property and/or Casualty background
* Established broker relationships and a genuine commercial mindset
* Strong communication and influencing skills
* Someone who is comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership
