Our client is an established and growing business looking for a Finance Administrator to join their growing team.

You will become a key member of the finance team, supporting a busy operation across multiple active sites. This position is being recruited to provide ongoing support and additional continuity within the finance function.

Working as part of a wider group of companies, you will help ensure financial administration is accurate, timely and well controlled. The role would suit someone ready to take the next step in their finance career and broaden their experience within a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day CIS administration and maintaining accurate supporting records
• Processing supplier and subcontractor payments accurately and within agreed timescales
• Completing high-volume data entry and keeping finance systems and records up to date
• Preparing and supporting the submission of VAT returns
• Reconciling financial information and investigating discrepancies promptly
• Supporting the Finance Manager with routine reporting and wider finance activities
• Responding to finance queries from colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors clearly and professionally
• Helping to maintain effective financial controls, organised records and reliable audit trails

Requirements and Experience

• Relevant experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar role
• Practical experience of CIS administration, payment processing, data entry and VAT returns
• Strong numerical accuracy and close attention to detail
• The ability to organise a varied workload, prioritise deadlines and follow tasks through to completion
• Confidence using finance systems and spreadsheets
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors
• A proactive, dependable and collaborative working style
• Experience within housebuilding, construction or a related sector would be advantageous
