Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Assistant; Cambridge; 6 months; £17.46ph paye; Inside IR35 We currently have an opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented AP/AR Assistant to support the day-to-day accounts payable and receivable functions within a fast-paced manufacturing /aerospace environment. Reporting to the AP/AR Supervisor, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate processing of transactions, maintaining strong supplier and customer relationships via telephone, and supporting financial operations during a transition to the IFS Cloud ERP system. This role will be based on site however hybrid working may be possible & can be discussed/reviewed once established in role. RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Payable & Receivable Support Process supplier invoices and customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner Assist with processing purchase orders, including large and high-value transactions Support multi-currency transactions, ensuring correct application of exchange rates Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts Prepare and process supplier payment runs Monitor aged receivables and assist with credit control activities Reconciliations & Data Accuracy Perform regular supplier and customer account reconciliations Investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating where necessary Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity Manage expenses queries & monthly credit card reporting Stakeholder & Relationship Support Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve queries in a professional and timely manner Support internal departments including procurement, finance, and operations Build positive working relationships with key stakeholders ERP System & Process Support Assist with the transition to the IFS Cloud ERP system Support data entry, system testing, and process updates Follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED Previous experience in an AP, AR, or finance assistant role Experience working in a manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment Experience working with multi-currency transactions (or willingness to learn) (essential but can be developing) Experience with IFS Cloud ERP (or similar systems) (desirable) Basic understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems AAT qualification (or studying towards) (desirable) Candidates will be required to undertake security clearance as part of the recruitment process.
