Design Engineer Location: Coventry Salary: Up to £42,500 + benefits Hours: 37 per week – Monday to Thursday 8:00–16:30, Friday 8:00–13:00 The company Our client is a long-established Coventry engineering manufacturer, designing and building precision products for customers in the UK and around the world. They are growing their engineering team and want a Design Engineer to start as soon as possible. The role * Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, from concept through to production * Produce 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings to recognised standards (GD&T) * Carry out engineering calculations, including stress analysis * Support customer specials and application engineering requests * Work closely with production, quality and purchasing to make sure designs can be manufactured at the right cost * Manage engineering change, BOMs and documentation * Help with prototype build, testing and validation About you * Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar * Proven experience as a Design Engineer in a manufacturing setting * Strong 3D CAD skills in any package.
