Rate: Up to £24.00 per hour

Start Date: 09/11/2026

Duration: Initial 4-week contract with further work available on subsequent projects

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30

Contract Type: Temporary Contract

Skilled Labourer Required - Manchester

We are currently recruiting for a Skilled Labourer to join a well-established Northwest-based Mechanical & Electrical contractor on a commercial project in Manchester.

This role will involve working closely alongside experienced Pipefitters, assisting with installation works and supporting the mechanical team on-site. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a construction or mechanical environment and be comfortable taking a hands-on approach to supporting pipefitting activities.

This is initially a 4-week contract, however there is a strong possibility of further work on upcoming projects following successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting Pipefitters with the installation of mechanical services
• Supporting 1st fix pipework installation activities
• Moving and preparing materials and equipment around site
• Assisting with pipe cutting, measuring and general installation duties
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working in line with site health & safety procedures
• Supporting the wider mechanical installation team as required

Requirements

• Previous experience working alongside Pipefitters or Plumbers
• Construction site experience
• Ability to work within a fast-paced site environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to assist the team
• Valid CSCS Card (Essential)
• Full PPE including:
  • Safety Boots
  • Hi-Vis Vest
  • Hard Hat
