An exciting new role has arisen for a Pension Specialist to join a small team within administering their own Pension arrangements and to work closely with the Pension Manager in more complex and technical aspects of the scheme. This role is ideal for someone with strong Defined Benefit Pension knowledge who is looking to combine technical pensions administration with team leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Working within a busy and highly regarded pension team you will support the Pension Manager in overseeing workloads, resolving complex pension queries, and ensuring the accurate administration of pension benefits for over 170 employer organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of escalation for complex pension administration queries.
• Support the management, prioritisation and allocation of team workloads.
• Process and review retirement, transfer, death and divorce cases.
• Check and authorise pension calculations and benefit payments.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members.

About You

• Previous experience administering a large defined benefit pension scheme.
• Experience using pensions administration systems
• Excellent technical, numerical and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex legislation and explain it clearly to members and colleagues.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be advantageous.
