Finance Manager | Premium Beverage Brand | Central London / Hybrid

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a growing beverage brand in their search for a Finance Manager. This role is well suited to a audit trained accountant looking for their first industry move, with broad exposure and the opportunity to work closely alongside a high-calibre Head of Finance.

The Client

Our client is an ambitious premium beverage brand with a growing international presence, building a reputation for exceptional quality. The business is entering a strong new phase of growth, with revenue forecast to rise by around 20% next year and new products and markets on the way.

It's a small, close-knit team with no egos, and you get the variety and pace of an SME with the security of a larger group behind you.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance in a team of three, the Finance Manager will take full ownership of month end and line manage the Accounts Assistant. It's a broad role covering management accounts, statutory accounts, audit, budgeting, cash flow, payroll and payments - ideal for someone looking to go down the Financial Controller track long term.

This is an ideal step up for a bright, ambitious accountant who wants their first Finance Manager role, particularly someone moving out of audit. You'll work closely with the Head of Finance, gain line management experience, and once you're settled, there's room to take on specific projects that interest you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line manage and develop the Accounts Assistant
  • Own the month-end close and management accounts pack
  • Prepare the analysis for the monthly leadership team meeting, including sales performance by channel
  • Analyse distributor and sales data to show how the business is trading across markets
  • Own the monthly cash flow and forecast updates, and support the annual budget
  • Lead the year end and audit season, and prepare the statutory accounts and group reporting
  • Own stock accounting and costing
  • Drive improvements across Xero, Cin7 and Power BI, and lead business projects as you grow into the role
  • Oversee payroll, payment runs and the ledgers, and prepare VAT, duty and ONS returns

Essential Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), ideally with around 1-2 years' post-qualification experience
  • A background in audit (ideally mid-tier or smaller firms with a retail focus) or an industry finance role
  • Experience leading or supervising others
  • Strong technical accounting skills and confidence preparing management and statutory accounts

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to stock and physical goods
  • Clients or experience in food, drink, retail, fashion, FMCG, ecommerce, manufacturing, or consumer brands
  • Xero, Cin7 or Power BI experience

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus

Location: Central London (3 days in-office)

Start Date: ASAP ideal, with flexibility for notice periods
