Logistics Manager

Reading | Up to £55,000

We're looking for a Logistics Manager to lead a specialist European logistics and inventory programme supporting major automotive customers.

This is a broad leadership role combining logistics, inventory management, customer engagement, team leadership and operational improvement. You'll take ownership of programme performance, asset availability and customer satisfaction whilst driving efficiencies across a multi-site operation. This is a hybrid role with 2/3 days per week required in Reading.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day programme operations across multiple European locations.
• Lead and develop a small team.
• Build relationships with key OEM customers and manage escalations.
• Optimise inventory levels, asset availability and service performance.
• Analyse operational data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive warehouse and logistics process improvements.
• Produce customer and management reports.
• Work with suppliers, carriers and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.

About You

You'll likely come from a background in:

• Logistics Management
• Supply Chain Management
• Inventory Management
• Operations Management
• Materials Management
• Equipment Hire or Rental Operations

You'll bring:

• Experience managing logistics, warehouse or supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-facing stakeholder management experience.
• Proven people leadership capability.
• A continuous improvement mindset.

Experience within the automotive sector, equipment hire, rental, fleet, asset management or specialist tooling environments would be particularly attractive, although we are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong operational leadership and customer management skills from other sectors.
