Finance Assistant

£30-35K

Central London ( 5 days in for the first 6 months)

My client is an acquisition-led property and lettings group and are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team.

In this role you will be working with the Finance Manager, you will take day-to-day ownership of client-account and transactional finance processes across a growing group of branches.

Key responsibilities

• Process landlord receipts, fee allocations, landlord payments and contractor payments. Reconcile client and bank accounts and investigate differences promptly.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and transactional records across group companies. Support supplier payments, purchase ledger and routine month-end work.
• Follow and help improve documented client-money controls and processes.
• Support new branches as they move onto the group's central finance process.
• Use AI, automation and modern tools to reduce repetitive manual work where appropriate. What we are looking for Strong numeracy, accuracy and organisation.
• Experience in bookkeeping, finance administration, client accounts or another money-handling role. A solid, experienced bookkeeper could be a very good fit.
• A calm, dependable approach and confidence taking responsibility for your own work.
• Energy and curiosity to help improve how things are done, rather than simply maintain the status quo.
• Property / lettings / client-money experience is useful but not essential.
• AAT or other study is welcome, but qualification status is not the deciding factor
