Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Ipswich - ASAP Start

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Ipswich, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced education professional looking to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful impact on pupils' learning and development.

The school is looking for a confident, proactive and committed practitioner with excellent classroom management skills and the ability to support learning across a range of year groups. The successful candidate will be comfortable delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher and providing targeted interventions to support pupil progress.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location - Ipswich
• Position - Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
• Type of work - Classroom support, intervention delivery and class cover
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration - Ongoing / Long-term
• Full time/part-time - Full time
• Rate of pay - £100-£120 per day (depending on experience)
• Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience working within a UK primary school
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience desirable
• Experience leading whole-class learning and small group interventions
• Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional child-related references
