Civil Technician Location: Leicester Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Civil Technician to join an ambitious and growing engineering consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across varying scales, supporting the delivery of high-quality civil engineering designs for development and infrastructure schemes. The successful candidate will have experience in development-led projects, particularly within residential and mixed-use developments, with a strong understanding of site set-up, roads, and drainage design. Key Responsibilities * Produce detailed civil engineering drawings and design packages for development projects. * Support the design and delivery of: * Site layouts and infrastructure * Roads and highways * Drainage and sewerage systems * Residential and commercial developments * Work closely with engineers and project teams to develop practical design solutions. * Prepare and maintain technical drawings and project documentation. * Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and client requirements. * Coordinate with external stakeholders, including developers, housebuilders, and local authorities where required. Essential Experience * Previous experience as a Civil Technician within a consultancy, developer, or housebuilder environment. * Experience working on a range of project sizes and sectors. * Knowledge of site development, roads, and sewer design. * Strong detailing and drawing production capabilities. * Ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously. Technical Skills Essential * Autodesk AutoCAD – Expert level proficiency. * Autodesk Civil 3D – Competent user. * Site3D – Competent user. * Knowledge of Autodesk InfoDrainage (formerly MicroDrainage/Inflow). * Knowledge of Causeway Flow. * Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook. * Experience using MailManager
