- Newly Created Role
- High Growth Business
- Business Partnering Pps Director
I’m recruiting on behalf of a well established, high growth service and distribution business that is looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to business partner their Operations Director and leadership team across multiple sites.
This is a genuinely commercial finance role, not a back office one. You’ll be the key link between Operations and Finance, providing the analysis, governance and challenge that drives performance across the business.
What you’ll be doing: - Business partnering the Operations Director and senior operational team, translating financial performance into commercial insight they can act on
- Owning weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, KPIs, variance analysis and commentary
- Leading annual budgets and rolling forecasts, working closely with operational stakeholders to secure buy in
- Building business cases and capital expenditure proposals to support investment decisions
- Taking ownership of the P&L for operational sites, working closely with the Management Accounts team
- Supporting the external audit process and contributing to the statutory accounts
- Identifying cost efficiencies and process improvements that drive profitability
What we’re looking for: - Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or qualified by experience in a similar role)
- Experience in a fast paced FMCG, foodservice, distribution or logistics environment
- Strong background in management accounts and commercial finance
- Confident building business cases and capital proposals
- Comfortable with regular travel (see below)
- Strong Excel skills; experience with reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus
- A natural communicator who can build relationships and influence at all levels
Travel and working pattern:The business operates across six sites in the UK, and being visible on the ground is central to how this role adds value. You’ll typically spend three days a week travelling to and working from these sites, building close relationships with site leadership and getting under the skin of operational performance first hand. The other two days are worked from home.
This level of travel is a genuine part of the role rather than an occasional requirement, so it will suit someone who enjoys being out in the business and is comfortable spending a good portion of the week on the road. The £5,000 car allowance is provided to support this, and any occasional overnight stays are fully expensed.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified or experienced finance professional who wants genuine commercial exposure and a seat at the table with operational leadership.
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000
