A highly visible role, responsible for maintaining robust financial control whilst driving improvements across finance processes, systems, and reporting. Reporting to the CFO, you will help oversee the end-to-end finance function, leading both the financial control and transactional finance teams to ensure operational excellence, strong governance, and timely delivery of financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing a multi-disciplinary finance team, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Treasury.
Ensure the integrity of financial reporting, controls, and compliance across the group.
Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Drive improvements in financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
Support business transformation initiatives, including process improvement, finance optimisation, and systems enhancements.
Manage cash flow, balance sheet integrity, and working capital performance.
Review and streamline transactional finance processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Profile
Strong leadership experience managing both qualified finance professionals and transactional teams.
Demonstrable track record of delivering change, transformation, or finance improvement programmes.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience managing audits and statutory reporting.
Hands-on, resilient, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A broad range of experience required but day rate will be dependent. £450-600pd.
