An established London main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The business has a strong track record across residential, care, commercial, education and healthcare projects, delivering both new-build and refurbishment schemes. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account. Key responsibilities: * Managing the commercial performance of projects * Procurement and tendering of subcontract packages * Managing subcontractor accounts and valuations * Preparing and agreeing variations * Cost reporting and forecasting * CVRs and monthly commercial reporting * Managing project budgets and cost control * Preparing and agreeing final accounts * Working closely with site and project management teams * Liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors * Identifying commercial risks and opportunities About You * Experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor * Main contracting experience is essential * Strong experience managing subcontract packages * Good knowledge of procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts * Strong commercial and contractual understanding * Experience across residential, refurbishment, commercial, education, healthcare or similar projects * Confident dealing with clients, subcontractors and project teams * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline preferred * JCT experience would be advantageous What's on offer: * £60,000 - £70,000 + package * Established and financially stable contractor * Varied project portfolio * Long-term career opportunity * Professional development and progression * Support towards professional qualifications Location: East London If you're an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next opportunity with an established main contractor, get in touch for more information
